Connor M. Bateman is an associate in the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Government Law practice sections. In his insurance coverage practice, Mr. Bateman represents insurance companies in a broad range of bad faith and insurance coverage disputes involving claims arising out of commercial general liability, homeowners, personal and commercial automobile, and excess insurance policies.  Mr. Bateman also routinely defends businesses and individuals in lawsuits involving premises liability claims, automobile accident claims, assault/battery claims, and negligent hiring and retention claims. Finally, as part of the firm’s Government Law practice group, Mr. Bateman represents local government entities and their employees in a variety of complex land use and zoning matters.

Mr. Bateman earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he served as Legislation Editor of the Georgia State Law Review. Mr. Bateman received awards for excellence in Criminal Law, Georgia Practice and Procedure, and Legal Research and Writing. While in law school, Mr. Bateman was a judicial intern in the Supreme Court of Georgia for the Honorable P. Harris Hines and also worked as a session legal aide in the Georgia House of Representatives.
