Courtney Mazzio is an associate in the firm’s Commercial General Liability Practice, as well as the Construction Professional Liability and Labor and Employment Law National Practice Sections. She works primarily in the areas of commercial premises, motor vehicle, contract, insurance coverage, and construction defect litigation. She also has experience in the area of catastrophic loss defense. Her practice involves exposure to a wide spectrum of injuries, from tears and broken limbs to loss of limb, traumatic brain injury, and death.

During law school, Ms. Mazzio also worked full-time for an employment law firm in the Philadelphia suburbs, where she gained experience in disputes involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, statutory discrimination claims and wage and hour claims. Ms. Mazzio now represents employers in a variety of labor and employment disputes, including: discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims under Title VII, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination as well as Fair Labor Standards Act claims.

Ms. Mazzio also counsels employers on workplace issues and best practices. She has developed customized employee handbooks, employment agreements, non-compete covenants, sexual harassment policies, drug testing policies, social networking and electronic privacy policies, and wage and hour policies for clients.

After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross with a B.A. in English with a Minor in Asian Studies, Ms. Mazzio then attended Widener University School of Law, where she received her law degree and served as an intern with Widener’s Veterans Law Clinic. While an intern with the Veterans Law Clinic, she assisted veterans with the regulatory appeals process as it pertained to their disability and pension claims.

Currently, she serves as a volunteer attorney at Support Center for Child Advocates.
