William J. Linkous, III brings extensive knowledge of government law to FMG. He was previously DeKalb County Attorney, where he was responsible for all legal affairs, including supervision of litigation, non-litigation and outside counsel. Mr. Linkous has also served as staff attorney for Atlanta Public Schools, where he handled labor and employment matters, including litigation and proactive representation. He has lectured and written on a variety of topics, including local government litigation, Section 1983 lawsuits, and representing county officials.
Mr. Linkous received his undergraduate degree from Roanoke College (B.A. Religion and Philosophy) and his law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law (J.D.). He is admitted to practice in Georgia and Colorado (inactive status).
He served as the Chairman of the Labor and Employment Section of the Georgia Bar from 2007-2008, and was a member of the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia Model Ethics Ordinance Committee in 2008. |
