You hear about cybersecurity in the news every day. Businesses and individuals continue to fall prey to hackers and cyber criminals  in both new and old ways. In response, state and federal legislatures and regulatory agencies are trying to keep up by creating laws to govern data security practices. Insurance carriers are also offering new products to protect against these risks. Understanding your legal obligations and best practices to prevent and protect against cybersecurity risks is essential to every organization’s risk management in this ever-changing area.

Please join us on May 15th for an informative webinar from our Data Security, Privacy & Technology practice team attorneys on the subject of preventing and preparing for a data breach. Our topics will include:

  • The best cybersecurity practices companies should use to protect against and prepare for a data breach;
  • The legal and regulatory landscape shaping data security and privacy requirements, and the challenges and considerations they create; and
  • How to manage cybersecurity risk, including with the use of cyber insurance policies, and the coverage issues to consider.

The Webinar will begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. EST.

As always, there is no charge for our webinar.  We hope to see you there!
