FMG Announces Allen Sattler Vice-Chair of the Firm’s Data Security, Privacy & Technology Practice Team

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is pleased to announce that Allen Sattler has been named vice-chair of the Firm’s Data Security, Privacy & Technology practice team.  Mr. Sattler is a partner in the firm’s Orange County, California office.

Prior to joining FMG earlier this year, Mr. Sattler practiced law at Mendes & Mount, LLP in New York where he was one of two partners to lead the firm’s cyber insurance coverage practice.  Mr. Sattler represents domestic and foreign insurers as coverage counsel for claims made against policies providing data security, privacy liability, and technology errors & omissions coverage.  He also has handled some of the nation’s largest data breaches by number of records disclosed and has defended an array of privacy liability and tech E&O claims.

Together with David Cole, who chairs the team, Allen adds both vast legal experience and leadership to our rapidly growing national cyber and data privacy practice.” said Ben Mathis, FMG Managing Partner.

Mr. Sattler is a frequent author and speaker within the field, having recently moderated and participated in panel presentations on topics ranging from the Internet of Things, the use of drones and the privacy and liability concerns they pose, and liability and coverage issues specific to claims concerning privacy regulations and statutes, including consumer protection statutes such as the TCPA.
