Bob Marcovitch, Noted Appellate Advocate, Joins FMG as Co-Chair of National Appellate Practice Section

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP, a leading nationwide litigation law firm, is pleased to announce that Bob Marcovitch has joined the Firm as a partner. He will co-chair the Firm’s National Appellate Advocacy Practice Section. 
 
Mr. Marcovitch is a native of Massachusetts and is admitted to the Georgia and Massachusetts Bars. He will work primarily out of the Atlanta office. He spends parts of the year in New England and also will work in the firm’s Boston office.
 
Mr. Marcovitch has concentrated his practice in appellate advocacy since the early 1990s. His prior experience includes serving as Assistant United States Attorney in the Appellate Section of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, in Atlanta.
 
His over three decades of legal experience include extensive experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts across the country in a wide variety of subject matters such as products liability, premises liability, intentional torts, medical malpractice, class actions, real estate matters, business disputes, government enforcement proceedings, and civil and criminal RICO. Mr. Marcovitch is known for the depth, precision, and clarity of his analysis of complex legal and factual issues, and he is considered a “go-to” attorney to handle high-stakes appeals and to consult on large exposure cases in trial courts.
 
For several years, Mr. Marcovitch has been an Adjunct Instructor at Georgia State University College of Law, where he teaches a class in Georgia Appellate Practice as well as writing components of substantive classes in Products Liability, Legislation, and Administrative Law.
 
In his spare time, Bob enjoys keeping up with current events, listening to and reading about rock n roll, and cycling with friends.
