Maria Alexander is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP's Hartford office. Ms. Alexander focuses her litigation practice in the areas of retail liability and trucking and transportation defense in both state and federal courts. Her clients include self-insured retailers, national trucking companies and student transportation companies. She is experienced in all phases of alternative dispute resolution.

Before entering private practice, Ms. Alexander worked for several years at a national insurance company, handling the defense of product liability claims and lawsuits for large national companies, including manufacturers of construction equipment, home appliances and consumer products, as well as toys and child safety products. She is a licensed casualty adjuster in the state of Connecticut for all lines of insurance.
