David Hawkins is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Nashville, Newark, and New York City offices. Mr. Hawkins is a member of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation/Directors & Officers, Construction & Design Law, and Tort & Catastrophic Loss practice sections. He also serves on the Real Estate and Sexual Misconduct & Human Trafficking interdisciplinary teams.
Mr. Hawkins focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, personal injury defense, New York Labor Law defense, and real estate matters. He has litigated cases in New York, New Jersey, and Tennessee courts involving commercial real estate disputes, breach of contract claims, and personal injury defense.
After law school, Mr. Hawkins clerked for the Honorable J. Randall Corman, J.S.C., of the New Jersey Superior Court, Middlesex Vicinage. During his clerkship, he gained valuable insight into the litigation process and judicial decision-making, and served as a court-trained mediator, successfully mediating dozens of disputes.
