Overview

Jennifer Brockel is Senior Counsel in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Denver office and a member of the firm’s Construction & Design, Commercial Litigation/D&O, Tort & Catastrophic Loss, and Professional Liability practice sections. She has concentrated her practice in the construction defect field since 2000, representing general contractors, architects, and engineers in complex litigation and dispute resolution.

With over two decades of experience, Jennifer has developed a deep understanding of the construction industry from the design process through project completion. This insight allows her to approach each matter with a practical, informed perspective, aligning legal strategy with her clients’ business goals. Jennifer is known for her hands-on, tailored approach—taking the time to understand each client’s unique operations and risk profile to deliver solutions that not only resolve legal disputes but support long-term business success.

Jennifer has achieved favorable outcomes for clients through litigation, arbitration, and negotiation. She is also a certified mediator and brings that skill set to both her practice and her volunteer work, which includes mediation services through Metro Volunteer Lawyers and Denver Courts.

She earned her law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, graduating in the top 20% of her class. While in law school, she participated in a study abroad program with the College of William and Mary Law School and the University of Exeter in the U.K., and served as a Research Assistant to Professors Federico Cheever and Arthur Best. Jennifer is proficient in both French and Italian.
