Overview
R.G. "Mack" McCormick, Jr. is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Tampa office. He is a member of the Healthcare and Tort & Catastrophic Loss Practice Sessions. Mr. McCormick is an experienced litigator, both as a civil trial lawyer and appellate attorney. He has represented individual and corporate clients in jury and bench trials throughout central Florida, as well as state and federal appellate courts.
Mr. McCormick has over twenty-five years of experience in civil practice. Earlier in his career, Mr. McCormick focused on defending employers in workers’ compensation claims, insured drivers in auto negligence actions, and commercial trucking carriers in bodily injury and cargo damage lawsuits. He has more recently specialized in representing physicians and healthcare professionals in medical malpractice actions, as well as commercial businesses, retailers, and housekeeping contractors in premises liability lawsuits.
Mr. McCormick was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2000. He is currently a member of the Florida Bar’s Trial Lawyers Section, the United Stated District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
