

Andy Treese is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Atlanta office. He practices in the Complex Litigation and Government Liability sections, where he primarily defends bodily injury claims, with an emphasis on trucking / transportation, premises liability, education claims, and malicious prosecution / false arrest. Mr. Treese also defends civil rights litigation against governmental entities, educational institutions, and their employees.
Mr. Treese graduated from Emory University in 1994, then served as a 911 dispatcher for two years and a police officer for ten years. He is certified as an instructor by the Georgia P.O.S.T. Council and has taught at law enforcement agencies throughout the state. He earned his J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he earned a variety of academic awards and a national moot court award. He is routinely invited to coach and judge at mock trial and moot court competitions throughout Georgia. Mr. Treese lives in Tucker, Georgia with his wife, son, and their dog. He is an avid reader who also enjoys jogging and Peloton.
