Jack Hancock is a Partner and Office Chair of Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Forest Park office. Mr. Hancock has over 40 years of experience in governmental and corporate liability, civil rights, employment, general litigation and real estate. He is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer who has represented all types of governmental and corporate entities. He has served as primary outside counsel for Clayton County for 28 years. Mr. Hancock has successfully argued several of the most significant decisions in the appellate courts involving liability of counties.
Mr. Hancock received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia (B.B.A.) and his law degree from the University of Georgia (J.D.).
Mr. Hancock has served in a variety of leadership positions in legal, business and civic groups. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce for a total of 12 years, serving as legal counsel for nine years and two terms as chairman. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for dedication, service and commitment to Clayton County and the Chairman’s Award in 2019 by the Chamber. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Regional Business Coalition. He is currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the Clayton State University Foundation where his has served two terms as Chairman.
