As a part of the Tort and Catastrophic Loss National Practice Section, Mr. Walsh frequently defends insurance carriers and their insureds, including individuals and businesses, in catastrophic casualty injury claims and professional negligence disputes. Mr. Walsh handles all aspects of litigation, from inception through trial, and has handled numerous cases within the arbitration setting when a dispute is subject to arbitration. Mr. Walsh also has extensive experience representing insurers in "bad faith" actions.
Mr. Walsh also is a member of the Firm’s Data Security, Privacy, and Cyber Liability practice team. With a background consisting of years of experience as an IT Professional for large law firms and corporations, Mr. Walsh’s experience in the IT field uniquely situates him to address both the technical and legal sides of this emerging field. Mr. Walsh’s Cyber practice focuses on Data Breach Preparedness, Data Breach Response, and other Technology Errors & Omissions (Tech E&O) claims.
Mr. Walsh is an active member of the American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and Irish American Bar Association. Mr. Walsh is often asked to present to business organizations and major insurance carriers on litigation methods and strategy, particularly in the area of high-exposure casualty defense and his defense verdicts are frequently highlighted in legal publications such as The Daily Journal.
