Will Collins is an associate in the Labor and Employment National Practice Section at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP.  He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where he served as Editor in Chief for 68th volume of the Mercer Law Review. While at Mercer, Mr. Collins was a member of the Mercer Law Review, received the CALI Award for Excellence in Business Associations, and interned with the Georgia Department of Community Health’s General Counsel’s office, focusing on Department litigation. During his second year at Mercer, Mr. Collins received the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys Fellowship. As a Fellow, Mr. Collins completed a 10-week internship split between the legal departments of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Georgia Hospital Association.

Mr. Collins received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness. While completing his studies, Mr. Collins was selected for the UGA College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Congressional Fellowship in Washington, D.C., where he served in the office of a Georgia congressman.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Collins worked as the Legal Compliance Specialist for Flowers Foods, Inc. In this role, he worked closely with both corporate and outside counsel to coordinate and grow the company’s compliance program, conduct internal investigations, and develop compliance policies and trainings.
