Ms. Roney combines an expansive background in science, medicine and information technology with superb communication skills to unpack complicated legal and technological issues for a layman audience. Before entering law school, Ms. Roney served as a laboratory technician in the Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia and then worked with early internet service provider America Online (now AOL, Inc.) at its height.
In 1999, Ms. Roney attended the James E. Rogers School of Law at the University of Arizona, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2002. She subsequently moved to Atlanta, Georgia to serve as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.
