Ken Coronel is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s downtown Los Angeles office. During the more than 30 years that Mr. Coronel has been practicing, he has resolved scores of disputes on behalf of business entities, individuals, public agencies, insurance companies and sureties via mediation, arbitration, and trial. However, he approaches each new dispute with the objective of trying to arrange an early resolution before the parties become tangled in costly litigation.

Mr. Coronel’s litigation practice is focused on complex cases in the areas of business and commerce, construction, construction defect, catastrophic torts, and professional liability. Mr. Coronel’s trial experience includes having served as the lead trial counsel in one of California’s longest civil trials - a construction case which took four years to try.

Mr. Coronel’s background as a litigator is augmented by his transactional experience, which includes serving as the Chief Legal Officer of a data and technology company located inside the capital beltway.

In 2000, Mr. Coronel obtained an A/V Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, with the highest score of 5.0, which is a testament to the fact that his peers and judges rank him at the highest level of professional and ethical excellence.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mr. Coronel enjoys the Southern California lifestyle, spending his off time playing golf, taking spirited drives through the local mountains, going to the beach, and enjoying time with his family.
