Acy Owen is an Associate in Freeman Mathis and Gary’s Dallas office. He recently graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of law, with a concentration in Sports and Entertainment Law. While in law school, he worked with multiple law firms and a reputable sports agency.
During the summers, Mr. Owen worked in a variety of different areas of litigation, with most of his time spent working in the insurance defense practice area. Throughout law school, Mr. Owen worked with a sports agency on several different sponsorship contracts as well as helping with other issues that arise with representing athletes.
Prior to his time in law school, Mr. Owen attended both Hinds Community College and Tulane University, majoring in business management with a minor in legal studies. At both Hinds and Tulane, Mr. Owen competed on their baseball programs at both the NJCAA and NCAA level. When he is not working, Mr. Owen enjoys watching sports and playing golf.
