Alex Norton is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Atlanta office. He is part of the Healthcare and Professional Liability/E&O practice sections and is actively involved in the Medical Malpractice interdisciplinary team.
Mr. Norton defends clients in disputes concerning professional liability and healthcare matters, where the bulk of his practice focuses on the litigation of legal malpractice and medical malpractice claims. Prior to joining FMG, he practiced family law, developing his skills as a litigator and the soft skills required to effectively support and advise clients. Using his prior experience in domestic relations law, Mr. Norton brings a unique degree of expertise to the defense of legal malpractice claims which arise out of disputes concerning divorce, child custody and other related matters. Mr. Norton began his legal career prior to law school by working as a litigation paralegal in the insurance defense realm, focusing primarily on medical and dental malpractice cases.
Mr. Norton earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, graduating cum laude. He earned his B.A. from the University of Georgia in Psychology.
