Amy Baughman is Senior Counsel in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Cleveland, Ohio office. Ms. Baughman is a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Tort and Catastrophic Loss, and Professional Liability/E&O sections. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Baughman’s practice focused largely on the representation of long-term care facilities with respect to their patients’ rights to pursue Medicaid benefits throughout various Ohio administrative and Appellate Courts. She has argued at over 200 administrative appeal hearings before the Ohio Bureau of State Hearings. She has also argued Medicaid appeals before eight of Ohio’s twelve Appellate District courts. In addition, she has represented nursing home clients in various matters in Illinois and Maryland Federal courts on a variety of due process-related issues. She also has litigation experience defending clients on matters of professional liability, medical malpractice, and premises liability.
