Overview

Beth Winchell is a Partner in the Lexington office of Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. Beth is a member of the Tort & Catastrophic Loss Practice Section. Beth is a litigator whose practice focuses on general insurance defense and the representation of motor carriers, owner-operators, and logistics companies in high-exposure trucking and transportation matters.  Her Kentucky-based practice includes complex civil litigation in both state and federal courts, defending cases involving catastrophic personal injuries, wrongful death, and significant property damage. Beth is rated Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent, and has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in the areas of insurance law and insurance litigation.

With extensive experience defending insureds, self-insured entities, and national carriers, Beth provides comprehensive counsel from immediate, rapid response, initial investigation, and the litigation process through resolution. Beth collaborates with experts in accident reconstruction, biomechanics, engineering, and medical specialties to develop a thorough evaluation and defense.

She is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association and Kentucky Defense Counsel, Inc., as well as her state and local bar associations.
