Brett Gardner is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Dallas - Downtown office. He is a member of the Insurance Coverage & Extra-Contractual Liability and Tort & Catastrophic Loss Practice Sections. He is also a member of the Midwest Coverage Interdisciplinary Team. He focuses his practice on insurance coverage disputes, bad-faith claims, construction defects, premises liability, and governmental liability matters. He has obtained first-chair trial verdicts and dozens of dispositive motion victories for his governmental entity and employee clients.

Mr. Gardner represents insurance carriers in litigation involving both commercial and personal lines policies and insurers nationwide in complex insurance coverage disputes and bad-faith claims. He also represents policyholders in third-party litigation and represents governmental entities and their employees. He litigates in both state and federal courts and has handled appellate matters in Texas appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
