Mr. Goldberg has successfully represented a wide range of clients including publicly traded companies, national banks, mortgage servicers, property management companies, small businesses, investors, and individuals in state and federal court in civil litigation. Mr. Goldberg enjoys helping his business owner clients resolve complicated business disputes and assisting creditor and/or landlord clients recovering property or working out defaulted loans and leases. Mr. Goldberg also has significant experience with residential and commercial property foreclosures, title disputes, and evictions. He is a trusted advisor to many clients on matters involve various types of real estate litigation including quiet title actions, boundary disputes, partition lawsuits, and resolution of complex title issues.
Prior to joining Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP, Mr. Goldberg sharpened his litigations skills at a mid-sized Atlanta law firm for about seven (7) years where he served as lead/senior counsel supervising a team of attorneys and paralegals. Prior to law school he served in a supervisory role for five (5) years in a large Atlanta law firm’s bankruptcy department where he helped coordinate and manage contested matters in a national default litigation practice.
In law school Mr. Goldberg completed a summer clerkship with the Honorable Judge James R. Sacca of the Northern District of Georgia, United States Bankruptcy Court. He won Best Petitioner’s Brief award and Oral Argument Finalist in The Charleston School of Law National Moot Court Competition. Mr. Goldberg was also a member of the Mercer Law School Advocacy Council, and a Student Member of the William A. Bootle Inn of Court. Mr. Goldberg is from Marietta, Georgia, and now lives in Johns Creek, Georgia with his wife Katie and two daughters. In his spare time, Mr. Goldberg enjoys playing guitar, building computers, and attempting to train his German Shepherd.
