Overview

Charley Short is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Miami office and a member of the firm’s Professional Liability practice section. Since joining the firm, his practice includes the defense of attorneys in civil claims for professional negligence brought against them, and touching upon all areas of the law. His practice also includes commercial litigation, construction defect claims, and general liability defense.

Charley graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, with honors, in 2018. He was also a member of the Inter-American Law Review and was selected for publication.

While in law school he was an intern for the Honorable Edwin G. Torres, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida. Prior to joining the firm, Charley was an associate at a large insurance defense firm practicing in the areas of general liability, personal injury, and first party property defense.
