Chesney Thompson is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Kansas City office. She is a member of the Healthcare and Tort & Catastrophic Loss practice areas.

Ms. Thompson represents clients from pre-suit through litigation. She provides clients with strategic guidance throughout the claims and litigation process. She is experienced in handling all phases of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery, preparing and arguing law and motion matters, conducting and defending depositions and assisting in trial preparation.

Ms. Thompson is an active member of the Kansas City Missouri Bar Association. She served on the board of the Young Lawyers Section for six years as the chair for the public service committee. She frequently volunteers her time to KCMBA’s Ask-a-Lawyer Telethon. She regularly volunteers to judge local high school and collegiate debate and trial competitions. Through the Missouri Bar’s Constitution Day program, she volunteers to give presentations to elementary students on the Constitution and its important role in the judicial system.
