
David McCollum is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Atlanta office and serves as Vice-Chair of the firm’s national Construction and Design Law practice section. Mr. McCollum has over 20 years’ experience in the areas of construction and design law and commercial litigation.
Mr. McCollum's practice involves counseling owners, developers, architects, engineers, builders, construction product manufacturers, and sureties on matters involving construction, design, payment, and professional liability disputes. Mr. McCollum also represents businesses in a variety of commercial disputes.
Mr. McCollum has substantial experience mediating, arbitrating, and litigating disputes in both state and federal trial courts and at the appellate level, and has been designated a Georgia Rising Star by Law & Politics in recognition of his efforts.
Mr. McCollum obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia (A.B. 1996) and his law degree from Georgia State University (J.D. 2000).
Mr. McCollum is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia.
