Des'Aire Taylor is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Kansas City office. She is a member of FMG's Tort & Catastrophic Loss and Data Security, Privacy & Technology practice areas and the firm's Transportation, Data Breach & Privacy, Retail, Hospitality & Beverage, and Media Teams. Mrs. Taylor focuses her practice on complex civil litigation throughout Missouri and Kansas. She was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media as an Up & Coming Lawyer in 2025 and currently serves as a member of the Missouri Bar's 2025–2026 Leadership Academy.
Mrs. Taylor represents businesses, insurers, and their insureds in a broad range of complex litigation matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims, transportation and trucking litigation, premises liability, product liability, commercial disputes, and other tort matters. She has experience handling cases through all stages of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, dispositive motion practice, mediation, trial preparation, and appeals. Prior to joining FMG, Mrs. Taylor represented national insurers and corporate clients in state and federal courts throughout Missouri and Kansas, developing practical litigation strategies tailored to each client's business objectives and risk exposure.
Mrs. Taylor earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law, where she received a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution and served as Note and Comment Editor of the Journal of Dispute Resolution. She is a member of the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Jackson County Bar Association. Through her involvement in the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy and local bar organizations, Mrs. Taylor remains actively engaged in professional development and the advancement of the legal profession.
