Overview

Dustin Blumenthal is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Fort Lauderdale office. He is a member of the Insurance Coverage & Extra-Contractual Liability Practice Section. He focuses on litigating complex, high-value insurance coverage matters, including duty to defend and indemnify concerns that arise under environmental, contractors, professional, and commercial general liability policies. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for his expertise in insurance coverage and litigation matters.

Mr. Blumenthal represents a variety of regional, national and international insurance carriers in both complex personal and commercial lines insurance coverage matters. He frequently counsels Chief Claims Officers and other senior claims leadership on complex claims handling practices and serves as national monitoring counsel.

Mr. Blumenthal is a member of Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) where he volunteers with the insurance law committee, the Defense Research (DRI) Institute and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). He has delivered presentations on insurance coverage, claims handling practices and risk management strategies for various insurance companies and claims administrators, providing practical guidance for managing complex claims and changes in insurance law.
