Dustyn W. Sams is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Lexington Office. Being a Kentucky native from Corbin, Sams graduated from the University of the Cumberlands (B.A.) and received his law degree from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law (J.D.). In law school, Sams was Chief Justice of UK’s student body Supreme Court, a member of the Kentucky Law Journal, a member of UK Law’s Moot Court team, and interned with Judge Eugene Siler of the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge Lucy VanMeter of Kentucky’s Fayette County Circuit Court.
Sams’ legal scholarship has been published by the Kentucky Law Journal and New Mexico Natural Resource Journal, among other periodicals. Beyond Sams’ legal work, he has written a book: Scholarship Secrets And Systems. Sams’ free time is spent hunting, fishing, or attending the local movie theater with his wife, Sheena.
