Overview

Ella Bishop is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP’s Nashville office. She is a member of the firm's Construction & Design Law and Professional Liability/Errors & Omissions Practice Sections. She has represented a variety of businesses and licensed professionals in construction defense litigation.  

In law school, Ms. Bishop worked as a research assistant for Professor Jill M. Fraley, researching how the public’s opinion on court packing has evolved from its first proposal to the present day. Additionally, she represented Washington and Lee Law as a LENS Scholar at Duke’s annual Law, Ethics, and National Security conference, where she engaged with major military figures on issues affecting our nation’s security. She also worked as a judicial intern to the honorable Justice Samuel J. Ervin, IV of the North Carolina Supreme Court, and Judge Lucy Inman of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
