Overview

Emaan Ali Bangash is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Dallas office. She is a member of the Labor & Employment and Appellate Advocacy Practice Sections. During her time at Southern Methodist University, she served as a comment editor for the SMU Law Review and gained experience across a range of legal areas including insurance coverage, family law, immigration law and civil litigation. Her legal training includes a judicial internship with Justice Erin Nowell of the Fifth Court of Appeals of Texas, advocacy for abused and neglected children at the W.W. Caruth Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic, and immigration relief support for human trafficking victims through Mosaic Family Services.

Emaan represents clients across various industries in labor and employment matters. Her approach is informed by her diverse background in legal research and advocacy, as well as her deep interest in storytelling, allowing her to address complex employment facts and legal issues with clarity and care.

She has co-presented on labor law topics, including the webinar “Traditional Labor Law for Non-Union Employers in the Age of Trump” alongside Robert Chadwick in May 2025. She earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 2024 and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in International Political Economy and a minor in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2021.
