Overview

Geoffrey F. Calderaro is a Senior Counsel in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Atlanta office. Mr. Calderaro’s practice focuses on the defense of claims in the areas of tort and catastrophic loss, as well as appellate advocacy and insurance coverage and extra-contractual liability in Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama.  Mr. Calderaro works diligently to obtain the best possible resolution for his clients. Clients appreciate the focus and attention to detail he provides to resolving every matter as well as his ability to address potential issues which could arise in the future.

Mr. Calderaro’s Tort and Catastrophic Loss practice includes defense of claims involving premises liability, transportation, construction accidents, and negligent security.  He has significant experience with premises liability claims including negligent security, involving a wide range of premises owners and occupiers. In the transportation area, he has litigated cases involving personal and commercial vehicles, including trucking claims. 

In Mr. Calderaro’s appellate advocacy practice, he has handled appeals in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, Mississippi Supreme Court, and Mississippi Court of Appeals. In addition, he has assisted in appellate matters before the Eleventh and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
