George B. Green, Jr. is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Atlanta, Nashville, and Dallas offices and is Vice Chair of the Firm’s Construction and Design Law national practice section. George’s practice focuses on high stakes civil litigation in both state and federal courts with an emphasis on construction, commercial, and tort litigation.

As part of his construction litigation practice, Mr. Green represents architects, engineers, owners, general contractors, and subcontractors on both small- and large-scale construction projects that involve claims of professional negligence, construction defect, negligence, and breach of contract.

Mr. Green’s commercial litigation practice focuses on commercial contracts, business disputes, unfair business practices, breach of non-compete agreements, real estate transactions, and claims brought against individual owners, directors, and officers for alleged breach of fiduciary duty.  He also has represented homeowner’s associations, community property companies, developers and property management companies in claims involving contract, torts, governance, and construction.  As part of his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Green has handled class actions, including tech class actions involving errors and omissions and data breaches.

Mr. Green’s tort practice typically involves high exposure litigation involving catastrophic injuries.  He is often retained by excess carriers as trial approaches to monitor trial strategy, and, in many cases, to step in as the first chair for trial.
