Jason M. Pannu, the President of the Tennessee Bar Association in 2018-2019, is a Partner and the Office Chair in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Nashville office and Vice-Chair of the Firm’s Construction and Design Law national practice section. Jason has handled a variety of matters in the area of complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on the construction industry.
As part of his construction law practice, Jason advises architects, engineers, owners, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, and material suppliers on large-scale construction projects. He regularly appears in State and Federal Courts and arbitration on construction defect, professional negligence, breach of contract, lien, and bond claims.
Jason also has experience handling employment discrimination disputes, professional liability claims, and insurance coverage matters. His employment practice encompasses representing employers in defending against claims under federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Tennessee Human Rights Act. In the professional liability area, Jason represents accountants, lawyers, insurance agents, consultants, brokers, and miscellaneous professionals in defending against various claims, including negligence, malfeasance, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract.
Jason grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is fluent in Cantonese Chinese and French.
