Overview

Jeffrey Yeager is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Columbus office. He is a member of the Commercial Litigation/Directors & Officers, Construction & Design Law, and Appellate Advocacy sections. He focuses on complex commercial litigation, construction matters, and appeals. He has represented a wide variety of clients from emerging business to large corporations, in federal and state courts and arbitrations across the country. He is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for commercial litigation and as a Top Lawyer by Columbus CEO Magazine.

Mr. Yeager represents clients across a wide range of industries, including construction, real estate, health care, financial services, retail, and manufacturing. He has litigated and arbitrated cases involving complex contract disputes, business torts, real estate transactions, business and asset sales, intellectual property, class actions, defamation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, secured transactions, and government bidding and procurement. He has represented owners, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors in construction and related contract disputes, finding solutions that include settlements, taking cases to judgment, and re-negotiating contracts to rebuild relationships.

Mr. Yeager has been published on a variety of subjects in the construction industry. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and serves on its advisory committee for diversity and inclusion. His service to the bar has also included service on committees focused on civic education, legislative review and initiatives, and improving the delivery of legal services. He has also served as a member of the Small Business Council and the Government Affairs Steering Committee for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
