Joceline Herman is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Sacramento office. Ms. Herman’s practice primarily focuses on Tort & Catastrophic Loss and the Professional Liability/Errors and Omissions teams. Her practice in Tort law includes defense of claims involving premises liability and transportation. Ms. Herman frequently defends insurance carriers and their insureds, including individuals and businesses. She has also defended insurers in "bad faith" actions. Her expertise extends to Construction and Design Law as well. Ms. Herman regularly defends contractors, architects, and engineers. She’s dedicated to all aspects of litigation from inception through trial or arbitration. She also has experience arguing matters on appeal. Ms. Herman is an active member of the Women Lawyers of Sacramento and a member of the Leonard M. Friedman Bar Association. She holds Co-Chair of the Publicity and Community Relations Committee for the 2024 Women Lawyers of Sacramento Board. Ms. Herman earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her law degree from St. John's University School of Law.
In her free time, Ms. Herman spends time water skiing and snow skiing, hanging out with family and friends, and is an active volunteer in the Jewish Community. She is an avid fan of sporting events and Broadway shows.
