Overview

Josette Brooksbank is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Boston office. Prior to FMG, she was an associate at a midsize civil litigation defense firm where she represented Fortune 500 companies, international manufacturers, and pharmaceutical companies in products liability and commercial litigation matters.  

Ms. Brooksbank earned her Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law, summa cum laude. While in law school, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable David C. Norton in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. Additionally, she was a member of the Charleston Law Review and the Trial Advocacy Board, where she acquired accolades, including best advocate, quarterfinalist, and second-highest defense brief placement in various nationwide competitions. Further, she received the prestigious Arthur Gasque Howe Trial Advocacy Award presented by the South Carolina fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Beyond her legal career, Ms. Brooksbank has experience with high-profile companies spanning various industries including Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. insurance brokerage, The X-Collective entertainment and media Production Company, and the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.  

Ms. Brooksbank received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.
