Katherine Ferry is an Associate Attorney at Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Chicago Office. Kate’s practice focuses on the defense of claims in the areas of tort and catastrophic loss, construction and design law, and insurance and bad faith claims. A collaborative team player, Kate demonstrates a high level of efficiency with her attention to detail and responsiveness. Her ability to understand, organize, and communicate complicated information, along with her interpersonal skills, makes her an asset to her teams and clients.

Kate draws on her experience as an associate attorney at a national litigation firm, where she handled a variety of matters, including construction, products liability, catastrophic losses and wrongful death, and toxic tort litigation. She has experience handling all aspects of civil litigation, from pre-trial to trial. Kate has defended a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, insurance carriers, and small business owners, and works hard to obtain favorable resolutions for all clients. During law school, Kate was a law clerk at a Plaintiff’s only law firm, which now provides her with a unique approach and perspective to handling cases for the defense.

Kate is a cum laude graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was a published editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. She was a member of the nationally ranked Moot Court program on the American Bar Association Team. Kate obtained her bachelors degree in Political Science and Journalism at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
