Katherine Morsman is an Associate at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Nashville office. Katherine primarily practices in the areas of labor and employment and insurance coverage. She provides strategic counsel and representation to clients with a strong foundation in litigation, research and legal writing. Her employment practice focuses on defending employers in matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other federal and state anti-discrimination laws. She regularly defends employers and represents clients during investigations conducted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). She also handles employment litigation in both state and federal courts, whether arising after an EEOC investigation or initiated independently. In her insurance coverage practice, Katherine handles complex coverage matters, including detailed analysis of insurance policies and advising clients on coverage obligations and potential exposure. She is involved in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, alternate dispute resolution and trial preparation. Katherine values clear, consistent communication and works closely with her clients throughout each stage of a matter, ensuring they are informed, engaged and empowered to make strategic decisions. She takes a practical, responsive approach to client service, developing tailored strategies that align with each client’s business goals and legal needs.
Katherine received her law degree from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law (J.D.), where she served as a staff editor for the Kentucky Law Journal and as a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky (B.A.), majoring in history and minoring in French and international studies.
