Overview

Kimberly A. Wah is Senior Counsel in Freeman, Mathis & Gary, LLP’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Wah is a member of the Tort & Catastrophic Loss practice section. As a former prosecutor with over 15 years of courtroom experience, Ms. Wah has tried more than 40 jury trials, including murder, sexual assault, vehicular manslaughter, and white collar crime cases.

During her tenure as a prosecutor, Ms. Wah was assigned to the Sexual Assault Unit, Human Trafficking Unit, Mental Health Unit, and Economic Crimes & Fraud Unit.



In the civil sector, Ms. Wah defended law enforcement agencies in federal civil rights actions involving allegations of excessive force and officer-involved shooting cases. She co-tried a federal civil rights jury trial resulting in a successful defense verdict.

Representative Cases & Clients

2011 Jury Trial, Melendez v. Cathedral City Police Department (and 4 police officers in their individual capacity), EDCV 10-00176 U.S. District Court Eastern Division (Riverside), represented police department and police officers in a case where plaintiff resisted lawful arrest subsequently alleging injuries, verdict for defense with plaintiff to pay trial costs.
