Overview

Kirsten Daughdril is Senior Counsel in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Atlanta office. She joined FMG from the Georgia Attorney General’s office where she was a Section Chief and Senior Assistant Attorney General with responsibility for a staff over 10 lawyers representing all of the State’s Administrative Licensing Boards. In over 20 years with AG’s office, she also handled multiple complex cases in State and Federal court involving Section 1983 and employment issues, as well as a wide variety of commercial and tort cases. Ms. Daughdril started her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Houston County.

Ms. Daughdril’s Professional Liability practice centers on her unique experience as the former lead attorney for the State’s 44 professional licensing boards in civil actions, administrative hearings and appeals. Her experience includes all aspects of professional liability matters involving lawyers, doctors; pharmacists, nurses, real estate agents, insurance agents and building and contractors. She also has regulatory and licensing experience in animal care, athletics and entertainment, cosmetology and barbers, environmental, funeral homes, chiropractors, dieticians, lactation consultants, optometry, and podiatry.

Ms. Daughdril also represents a variety of private entities and local governments in labor and employment matters and civil rights disputes. Using her experience as one of the AG’s foremost litigators, she brings that perspective and experience to developing effective defense strategies to resolve and minimize risks for employers in discrimination, personnel, law enforcement, and jail condition matters. She also regularly handles high exposure tort and catastrophic injury matters.

Ms. Daughdril is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.
