Overview

Elisabeth “Lisa” Gentile is a Partner in the Columbus, Ohio office of Freeman, Mathis & Gary, LLP. Lisa tried a civil auto accident case to a jury her first week as a licensed attorney and has been trying cases across the state of Ohio and other jurisdictions ever since. Lisa has experience in fatality cases successfully defending trucking and transportation companies, medical malpractice professionals and the restaurant and retail industries. Throughout her career, she has successfully defended nearly 50 cases resulting in defense verdicts or verdicts less than pretrial offers. Lisa also has been called upon to parachute into cases in various jurisdictions utilizing her ability to connect with juries across many venues. In addition to the above matters, Lisa has also tried cases involving mass torts, catastrophic losses, fire casualties, professional liability and defamation/false light cases. Over the years she has utilized her skills to conduct mock trials, jury analyses and focus groups to assist her clients in their decision to resolve a case or take it to a jury verdict. Lisa has focused her career in the areas of tort and has enjoyed success in the courtroom defending these claims. Lisa is a member of The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
