Overview

Matthew G. Salazar is a Partner and Office Co-Chair of Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Sacramento office. He is also Co-Chair of the firm's Western Tort practice team. Mr. Salazar’s practice focuses on the defense of claims in the areas of tort and catastrophic loss, commercial litigation, and construction defect in California. Mr. Salazar works efficiently to obtain the best possible resolution for his clients. He takes extra steps to make certain his clients are well advised of developments during the pendency of the litigation.

Mr. Salazar’s Tort and Catastrophic Loss practice includes defense of claims involving premises liability, transportation, complex commercial losses, construction accidents and product liability. He has significant experience with wrongful death claims and serious injuries including traumatic brain injury, complex regional pain syndrome (reflex sympathetic dystrophy), spinal cord stimulators and amputations. In the transportation area, he has litigated cases involving personal and commercial vehicles, including trucking and motor coach claims. He also represents clients in lawsuits involving construction defect litigation on behalf of general contractors and subcontractors. 

In his free time, he enjoys riding mountain bikes, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, following his favorite Bay Area sports team and spending time with his family.
