Michael Griffin

Michael Griffin is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Boston office, Co-Chair of the firm's Healthcare national practice section, and Chair of the firm's Aging Services & Long-Term Care national practice team. His practice focuses on the defense of healthcare liability and professional liability claims, as well as anti-trust litigation and insurance coverage matters. In the area of healthcare liability, he defends nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, labs, physicians, practice groups, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers. Most of his cases involve significant research into both the underlying medical aspects of each claim and applicable legal precedent. Michael works closely with medical experts to analyze questions of medical causation and to develop sound defenses in each case. He has obtained numerous dismissals and defense verdicts in medical negligence claims involving serious injuries and death.
