Michael Giunta is a retired Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Boston office. He specialized in complex civil litigation and representrd retailers, manufacturers, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, corporations, individuals and insurers in product liability, premises liability, professional malpractice, commercial and contract disputes, trucking and motor vehicle tort, insurance coverage and unfair insurance claims settlement practices, real estate litigation, and trust and estate disputes.

Mr. Giunta also served as monitoring counsel for physical therapy and assisted living facility claims for specialty insurance programs underwritten in the London insurance market. He has 35 years of litigation experience and tried cases in the U.S. District Court and Massachusetts Superior, District, Land, Housing and Probate Courts, and appeared before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court.

Mr. Giunta is experienced in all phases of alternative dispute resolution, having mediated or arbitrated more than 250 cases. He was selected for inclusion in the 2011-2020 editions of Best Lawyers in America® and named a Massachusetts “Super Lawyer” for the years 2011-2020. He is rated AV® Preeminent™ by the Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ System. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (past president), and Claims & Litigation Management.

Mr. Giunta past experience included handling real estate transactions, condominium declarations and disputes concerning by-laws. He counseled and represented property owners, banks, condominium owners, and insurers concerning contract, mortgage and foreclosure disputes.
