  • Lead defense counsel in 15-day jury trial in New Jersey of legal malpractice claims with initial demand for $31 million in losses. Jury was hung 6-2 in favor of the defense. Case settled prior to retrial for a small fraction of the demand.
  • Co-lead defense counsel in 10-day jury trial of partnership and patent invention claims.
  • Lead trial defense counsel in Rhode Island 24-day trial of accounting malpractice claims involving alleged losses in excess of $24 million. Judgment for defendants entered after appeal.
  • Lead trial counsel in defense of accounting malpractice claims as to corporate tax planning. Jury returned defense verdict on all claims after only 40 minutes of deliberations.
  • Trial counsel for Fortune 500 corporations in multiple wrongful death actions.
  • Co-lead counsel in 13-day jury trial of claims against national bank for $22 million in alleged fraud on bank clients.
  • Lead counsel in 23-day jury trial defending corporation and directors against allegations of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty resulting in alleged $12 million liability. Defense verdict.
  • Lead trial counsel for corporation and directors in four-week jury trial of claims of fraud and misappropriation of patentable technology.
  • Lead trial counsel in multiple securities law trials or arbitrations involving suitability and alleged violations of fiduciary duty by financial advisors and investment institutions.
  • Lead counsel for a national title insurer in defense of statewide class actions relating to fraudulent second-mortgage funding involving losses in excess of $50 million.
  • Lead counsel in three-week jury trial of product liability claim arising from powerboat accident resulting in double leg amputation of passenger.
