Peter Brown is Senior Counsel at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP and is located in the Atlanta office. He is a trial attorney and a member of the Trial Advocacy and Professional Liability practice sections, as well as the Tort & Catastrophic Loss section. He is also part of the Lawyers Professional Liability, Products Liability, Retail and Transportation interdisciplinary teams. Mr. Brown focuses his practice on premises liability, products liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death and professional negligence. He has substantial experience in personal injury litigation, having worked on both sides of the aisle and handled all aspects of litigation, including workers’ compensation hearings and jury trials in state and federal court.
Mr. Brown represents a range of clients, including local government entities and their employees, such as Georgia cities, counties and the state. He has extensive experience working with law enforcement in personal injury and civil rights matters. He has conducted and participated in internal investigations of police departments in response to allegations of improper conduct and procedural violations. He is certified in DUI field sobriety testing and detection.
Mr. Brown earned a degree in history from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. He has volunteered as an evaluator in numerous mock trial competitions and has coached a local high school team for competition.
