Peter Lenart is a Partner in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Orlando and Tampa, Florida office. Peter is an accomplished litigator who focuses his practice on representing building product manufacturers and suppliers, design professionals, builders, and other clients in construction defect disputes and litigation. He draws upon more than 30 years of legal experience managing complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts in Florida, Massachusetts, and other jurisdictions. Peter has represented a variety of businesses and licensed professionals in construction defect, product liability, contract disputes, and Bernard Madoff-related financial fraud claims. Peter regularly counsels clients on risk avoidance, best practices, pro-active contracts, and other big-picture issues and creative solutions to protect business owners and businesses. Over the course of his career, he has represented sole practitioner design firms all the way to multiple Forbes and Fortune 500 companies.
In addition, Peter is passionate about travel and hospitality and has represented multi-brand restaurant groups and global hotel enterprises. In order to better serve hospitality industry clients, he earned a business Master’s Degree in Global Hospitality Leadership from Georgetown University. Peter also draws experience as a former Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, and he spent two years serving in the Disability Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. where he assisted in enforcing The Americans With Disabilities Act.
