Peter Carroll is a Partner in the Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP's Boston office. He is a seasoned civil litigator and member of the firm’s Construction and Design, Tort and Catastrophic Loss and Professional Liability Practice Groups. He represents a wide range of clients, including design professionals, construction managers, general contractors and subcontractors in complex construction disputes involving defect claims, hazardous condition suits and complex risk transfer issues. Mr. Carroll routinely defends clients in a wide range of tort and personal injury matters, from product liability actions to premises liability claims. He also defends licensed professionals in high-stakes professional liability claims. His practice often involves defending clients involved in multi-party litigation with significant financial exposure. He represents clients in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island state and federal courts, as well as mediation and other alternative dispute resolution settings.
Prior to joining FMG, Mr. Carroll was a partner at a midsized civil litigation defense firm, where he developed a robust practice defending clients in construction-related disputes, as well as in matters involving legal malpractice, premises liability and trucking and transportation liability.
Mr. Carroll is known for his strategic approach to litigation, his ability to navigate complex technical issues and his commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients through both trial and alternative dispute resolution.
In the past, Mr. Carroll has presented to construction and design professionals on the importance and implications of construction contract provisions.
He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
