Mr. Ward’s construction and design practice includes representing architects, engineers, surveyors, and other design professionals, general and sub-contractors, owners, and developers in all manner of construction disputes, as well as construction defect claims and tort claims arising out of construction site accidents. Mr. Ward understands the challenges his clients face because he has had first-hand experiences with them. As someone who worked in the construction industry and owned a contracting business, he has a unique perspective that helps him find creative solutions to his clients’ problems and look at the big picture when devising a case strategy. Mr. Ward has extensive experience handling all manners of general tort litigation, from premises liability, negligent security, adventure park liability (trampoline parks, ziplines, amusement parks), and other general litigation. Mr. Ward’s surety practices includes resolving surety claims under construction and miscellaneous commercial bonds, including probate bonds.
Mr. Ward’s environmental practice includes handling all manners of claims, from mold and lead cases, water runoff litigation, Clean Water Act claims, and Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) claims.
Mr. Ward’s insurance coverage experience includes advising insurance carriers on all manners of first and third party coverage issues, defense of first-party claims, and defense of bad faith. When not solving his client’s problems, Tom enjoys being outdoors hiking or mountain biking, taking his children camping, spending time with his family, and reading.
