Victoria James is an Associate in Freeman Mathis & Gary’s Hartford office. Ms. James’s practice focuses on defending clients in the areas of transportation and trucking law, motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation, and premises liability.
While in law school, Ms. James was a research analyst for a database covering cases all over the country involving allegations of business interruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She also gained experience in government law, insurance defense, complex litigation, and First Amendment issues.
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A.). She received her law degree from the University of Connecticut (J.D.), where she was a member of the Connecticut Journal of International Law, Moot Court Board, and Mock Trial Society. During law school, she authored a research paper comparing French and American laws on religious education.
In her free time, she enjoys coaching soccer and basketball. You can also find her trail-running, kayaking, and playing with her puppy.
